Soroptimist International of Courtenay

BRANDING • PACKAGING DESIGN • SQUARESPACE WEB DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

Chartered in 1944, SI Courtenay members are a diverse group who share the passion of giving back to women and girls.  Through club meetings we connect with community leaders and discover creative ways to change our local and global community.

The Problem

Soroptimist International of Courtenay (SIC) was launching a tea initiative to help raise funds to support their mission, providing women and girls access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. They launched two specifically formulated tea blends in partnership with Denman Island Tea Co. but didn’t have a label of their own to place on their packaging. The club was also turning 80 years old in 2024 and the organization wanted a unique logo design that tied in the principles of the international organization but that was unique to SIC. The club was lacking an online presence and relying heavily on the existing digital space of the regional club to promote themselves which didn’t help progress their tea sales or promote the club within their local community.

The Solution

Working closely with the President & Vice President of the organization, we crafted two unique tea labels that encompassed the values of SIC while providing the necessary information required on their fundraiser packaging. I developed a logo that incorporated the international club signature icon, while embodying the essence of the Courtenay chapter. An online presence was created through a custom Squarespace website that allowed them to have a space where they could share not only everything initiative they have going on in their club, but also a place where new prospective members within the community could come and learn about the organization and how they can get involved. We added interactive elements and ensured scalability across all channels.

The product Kayleigh produces is excellent with a good value and prompt service. Excellent product with good value and prompt service is not common these days. Well done Kayleigh. I will send all my referrals your way!
