The Comox Box is a Comox Valley-based gifting service offering local and Canadian made products in both grab n’ go pre-curated boxes or in fully-customizable gift boxes. They’re making gift giving easy!
The Problem
Tara and Sonia ran into some big issues with their third-party Shopify apps being used to facilitate their custom gift box builder. They needed a solution that enabled users to have a streamlined box building experience, where they could build their box, change items at the end of the process without completely redoing the contents of the box, knowing when they can or cannot build multiple boxes due to products being out of stock, as well as accurate inventory tracking. In addition to the need to revamp their box building experience, they also wanted to elevate their branding throughout their site, as well as offer an option to upsell their greeting cards for their pre-curated Grab N’ Go boxes.
The Solution
Knowing what The Comox Box needed for success, I was able to install an app that offered everything they needed for their custom box builder and set up the entire flow to a seamless user experience. I also was able to offer custom Shopify Liquid coding to customize the builder beyond the basics. Additionally, I used custom coding to adjust their branding throughout the site, particularly areas where the theme didn’t allow for easy editing for a business owner. We also were able to find and implement an upselling app for their greeting cards that offered the perfect solution for their pre-curated boxes.
